Fuel pump

This past week and I had to change my ignition
switch module after that I try to start it but it was
still flooded with gas so I had to let it sit for a while
and then eventually it started the next day I took it
through a couple pretty big size mud puddles and
the truck shut off could it be that I need to replace
my fuel pump or filter

No. you would need to check fuel pressure to know if it is a fuel pump. And you are complaining about it flooding out. I don't see how it can be flooding out unless the fuel injectors are just poring gas into the engine. The fuel regulator in the TBI probably needs to be replaced, or the injectors are bad. The truck probably doesn't start because the ignition may be in bad shape and is all wet.
