Electrical Issue

Asked by Rango04Limited Aug 12, 2015 at 11:05 AM about the 2004 Dodge Durango

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have an 04 Durango Limited. I recently started having an issue with the electrical
system. I have no power to the radio or climate controls. However  when plugged in,
the heat is at full blast and i am unabnle to turn it off. there is no illumination of any
of the controls either. When this started happeing, power locks no longer work from
the key fob. I have to lock and unlock manually. The overhead lights, and sunroof
controls work but the compass, the garage door opener buttons, and other buttons
do not. The keyfob is no longer working at all. I read a few posts about having the
instrument cluster replaced and i have, but did not fix, Can anyone give me any
ideas as to where to even begin? Ive checked fuses multiple times and even
replaced any that i had questioned. Ive checked wiring as much as i possibly could,
and make sure there were no bare wires. Im frustrated, ive been fairly lucky
considering the reviews i have read from  similar models. 2004 Durango Limited

Check the circuits of the radio, climate control, power locks. Take the fuses out and read the voltage going to them.

I have a 2015 Durango SXT. The touch screen works fine, but the controls & knobs below do not working or responding. Does anyone knows what fuse it would be relate to? If plugging out and plugging back in would fix this issue.

i have the EXACT same issue. was this resolved? i fear it may be rain/water damage to TIPM or fuse junction box...
