Alternate method to start 2005 neon

Is there a way to start a 2005 neon sport coupe
without a starter on it jus so i can be sure it
actually starts before i buy it from sumone  they
say its jus the starter which is no longer attachsd
to the car and i need to see if it runs before buying
it

with a standard tranny you can dump the clutch in 1st gear. If automatic, not w/o putting a starter on(if you hv to get one,go to salvage yard to p/u one)

Don't waste your time on this car - if the only problem with it was a lack of a starter chances are the owner's would have replaced it before trying to sell it. Plenty of other deals out there, keep looking.

KenF - I suspect a lot of cars that "just need one little thing" to run are in fact dead and the owner knows it.

and I'll bet the receipt will say " as is " it's a tactic so you can't test drive it to find out the motor is blown or the tranny's bad , don't believe what anyone says , you can say that and it'll get you out of jury duty too
