Headlights on a 2005 Dodge caravan

Asked by Guru6CJGS Mar 19, 2020 at 02:40 PM about the 2005 Dodge Caravan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have replaced the dimmer switch because the headlights will only
work if I hold the dimmer switch in so that it's on high
beams, otherwise I have no headlights at all. It's still the same after
putting n new one. What else could b the problem?

It may not be the switch but may be its adjustment. I'm not a Dodge guy, but GM uses a rod that runs down the steering column to the switch. If the switch needs to function when the rod moves up and don the column to select or deselect the high beams. Maybe Dodge cars are similarly set up.
