2006 didgr stratus

Have had my car in the shop all week they told me
that I needed a new thermostat and changed out
my spark plugs and gave me a coolant / and
change my radiator cap now today when I started
my car it was sputtering check engine light came
on and no heat unless I was accelerating when I
rubbed it up it seem to run fine but check engine
light still on no heat unless accelerating can
anybody tell me what may be wrong with my car
cuz the mechanics can't figure it out

Well first off, the cooling system still has air pockets that need to be purged out. Then just have the codes read for the check engine light to give an idea what the trouble is causing that to come on.
