so it will start????????? hows the fuel filter/ pump??

There are lots of reasons why a car will start but won't stay running. Might be a fuel problem, like a defect in the fuel pump system, injectors, or injector pulse. Might be electrical, like a problem with the alternator, coils, or one of the essential sensors: MAF/MAP, throttle position, crankshaft position, camshaft position, engine coolant temperature, O2, or even the knock sensor. Might be a fault in the ECU itself, or a relay. Might be mechanical, like a vacuum leak, EGR valve, defective idle air control valve, dirty throttle body. Might even be a defective ignition switch. Go to a car parts store and borrow a code reader to read codes, probably free. Of if you don't know how to diagnose, tow the car to a mechanic.
