Engine Switch on 2006 Dodge Charger 2.7L

Yeah. I have a 2.7L Charger. It was my dads gift to my mom
when he got accepted into his career. After 13 years its
working good and is now my commute vehicle. Im 18 and
have been thinking of saving up to buy a bigger engine.
Maybe a 5.7 or 6.1. Is this possible? About how much
would I spend, what would i need to replace and...is it a
good idea?

It is possible however, it will cost thousands of dollars. Any time you change the engine type or size there are plenty of complications. Motor mounts, transmission, exhaust system, engine computer, etc. If you are paying a shop to do it, you are likely looking at $5,000 - $8,000. You would be better off finding a newer model with the engine you want.
