Honda recommends you use ATF Z-1 Automatic Transmission Fluid, it has extra additives that help with the treatment of seals and so forth!

Use Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) oil provided by Honda Dealers. Do not use Automatic Transmission Oil as Honda City VARIO has CVT type transmission. You have to use 4 ltr tranny oil. thx

Hi, I own a 2003 City Dsi. There was a time, Being ignorant, I used ATF for the gear box oil. Bit I was told otherwise and to use CVTF, and I did... The last year when I went outstation to have my gear oil changed again, the mechanic said it's written in in the cap cap to use ATR oil and so he did. I am now pretty confused. I have lost the car manual as it is a 2003 car. Can you offer me a proper advise please? Should I know flush it out and change back to CVTF? Many thanks!

honda 2003 up to 2008 all auto variants have cvt transmission so use cvtf oil not atf oil.
