Sluggish driving

My car engine light suddenly turned on and
my car started behaving sluggish. Afraid it
was going to stop moving all together. What
can be causing this?

Take vehicle to auto parts store like auto zone and they will scan the codes for you for free and it will let you know why check engine light is on and what you need to do to fix and get the light to go off.

Engine light goes off as soon as I restart the car but after I press on the gas a few times it comes back on. It idles a little ruff and revs really hard and loses power but not all the way.
