I went to turn and lost my sterring ,wheel just turns nothing happens?

Do what Tom said! You're risking life and limb. Not only to yourself but others on the road.

there are two bolts holding the upper tie rods to the rack and pinion steering assembly. Both of these sheered off and I had zero steering. That's probably what happened to you. It's not a cheap fix, but you won't roll without it. My neighbor has a 300m and had the same problem.
