Oil light and overheating

Asked by Jun 04, 2019 at 01:00 PM about the 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2001 pt cruiser with 149,834 miles on it.
When I leave it on idle for about 10-15 minutes the
oil light will start blinking but it also beeps when it
lights up. When I drive it for 10-15 minutes, my
engine will start to overheat and I'll see steam
coming from the hood. I don't know what to do. I
had a new fuse installed because the cooling fan
wouldn't turn on and the radio wouldn't light up.
Now they both work but I'm still having an
overheating issue.
