Asked by Brandon Apr 29, 2020 at 11:47 AM about the 1949 Pontiac Chieftain

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Does anyone know of any dealers with parts to a 1949 Pontiac Chieftain? Or a
parts car? Looking to restore my great great grandfathers car (mostly interior).
TIA

Owner's clubs, car shows, internet searches are your best sources. With spring here, the car show circuit is heating up. Their marketplaces can be a surprising source. Good luck with the hunt!

Visit The Pontiac Oakland Club International (POCI) website. I've been a member for many years! Their website and monthly magazine called Smoke Signals will be very helpful to you! Also, believe it or not, you can try your local Napa auto parts store. I work for Napa and a lot of mechanical parts for vehicles like yours are still available. They usually won't be in stock, but ordering the parts is not a problem! Good luck with your restoration! That's so awesome that you have your Great Great Grandfather's car!! Hope that helps! Jim
