My Ford 2001 E250 van wouldn't start after parking it the other day.It turned over w/shots of starter fluid but wouldn't keep running.We had to pour fuel into throttle body to keep engine going-Ideas?

This happened all of a sudden - only hint
was the need for starter fluid few times
when it had sat for several months-
otherwise it was awesome...Please help!!!!

I have the same vehicle down to the year I already changed the sensor and it started for a half hour then we replaced the fuel pupump and that solved the problem
