Just purchased a 1964 Catalina convertible. Love it but need to know where to looking for a problem with getting the top to raise and lower as designed

Question type: General

The top moves freely manually. But no response from the switch on the dashboard.  Is there a dedicated fuse for it? Where is the motor for the top operation?

Yes there is a dedicated fuse. If that's okay, test first for bad switch, bad wiring, bad relay. If you're getting power to the motor (in the trunk) then the motor is bad. Try these guys: http://convertibleparts.com/ScissorTopDocs.pdf or give them a call. 626-285-2255.
