Start a new Chrysler Sebring question.

Question type: General

2003 siebring convertible. There is black sponge like stuff
that comes out of interior vents, looks like disintegrated filter
.when air or heat is on.also when air is on i get condisation on
dash. Any ideas?

This is insulation from the inside of the vent,s,this could be caused by moisture entering through the ac accumalator,or from a leaking heatercore,the moisture makes the glue turn loose of the insulation that is being blowed out the vent,s.

You would have to remove duct work under dash to remove and replace insulation,

Not sure about the first response but if it looks black and like a carbon filter. You just need to replace the ac vent filters. cost about 3.99 at sears
