2005 Chrysler Pacifica all wheel drive

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have an all wheel drive 2005 Chrysler Pacifica. I
was on my way home from work as I was getting
off the expressway and coming to a red light i
heard and felt a pop I pulled into a gas station and
shut it off. I waited a few minutes then started it up
I put it in reverse I got about half way out of the
parking spot and it started hopping and grinding
then stopped moving. I tried to pull it back in the
parking spot but it wouldn't move. I tried pushing it
but I couldn't get it to move. I put it back in drive
and pushes on the gas. As I was pushing on the
gas it was jumping and grinding extremely bad! I
checked the fluids and everything was good. I got
it towed home. Any ideas what could be wrong?
