how many quarts of oil for a 3.0 liter BMX diesel, thanks

I just move to Panama and bought a 2008 X3 with a 3 liter diesel and I want to change the oil

http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/showthread.php?t=180542 - http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=559730 - the oil capacity, unbelievably is not in the owners manual. But check out those sites, one says 6.0 US Quarts.
