Car running hot

Asked by Guru5F7BZ Aug 14, 2018 at 10:11 PM about the 2006 Chrysler 300

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car ran hot only while the A/C was on one day recently.  I looked up some things.  Think I know what it is.  But, can you 1st tell me if since a supposed mechanic put 100% concentrate antifreeze in my car a while back(and I don't drive alot bc I work from home), an that cause this?  In other words, what effects can that 100% have on the car and it's parts?

100% antifreeze is a bad idea. It will not cool as well as 50/50 and the temperature range will not be what you need either. Read the bottle!

The best coolant is straight water with a rust preventative. You can add Water Wetter and lower operating temperatures several degrees. Obviously you do not want to do this where if freezes!!!!
