2002 Ford Taurus Flex Fuel stalling out

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

A week ago while driving on the highway the car
started cutting out, jerking  like it was trying to die. I
lessened the acceleration seemed to help. I
managed to get where I was going. The hesistant
ion part of it has happens a couple months ago but
they was it. Didn't have any issues after that until 2
days ago when again it started going the same
thing.  I managed to get about 2 more miles when it
died on me. I tried to start it, it did but died
immediately, tried to start again it wouldn't but did
turn over. After sitting about 20-30 minutes it
started up and I was able to drive it another 6 miles,
it died. I started back up and got it a couple blocks
as I pull in to the parking spot it dies. Yesterday I
drove it to see how it would act. I drove about 4
miles and was there 2 hours, continued to drive it
throughout the day.  I then think we are ok and drive
it about 8-9 miles no cutting out this time I come to
a stop light and it dies. I start it and turn stop at
another light and it dies. It started it and pulled into
parking lot. We sit for a while. Someone stops to
assist tells us about something. They all is good
did t sit long when I stared it back up and it didn't
die. So we drive back 6-7 miles stop at a light and it
dies. I start it pull it into the parking lot it dies. Sit for
about 20 mins drive a couple miles stop at another
light and it dies. Get it started pull in a parking lot.
Again we sit and again wait. Traffic time.  We had
the oil changesd yesterday and ended up changing
he sensor on the top of the crankshaft. I've also
replaced the thermostat last week. Alternator is
about 7-8 months old,  battery too.  Ignition cool
replaced about 5-6 months ago. Water pump also
was replaced March/ April 2015.  Fuel filter changed
a year ago. Car has 175,500 miles on it. I bought it
from another owner March of 2014 it was in very
good shape, we have put a lot of miles on it. It had
about 124,000 miles on it at the time.  I have the
fuel filter but Idk whether change it or not., but agin
we put a lot of miles on it.  It's the only vehicle I
have between taking kids to school and 3 of us
working.  I desperately need help. I don't have all
the labor cost to pay.
