on a 1995 cadillac deville automatic. will go
into drive but will not pull can the
transmission relay cause this

Most likely, it's low transmission fluid, check that first, or a bad transmission control module or a shift solenoid. Might even be a bad selector switch A long shot, but it could be a faulty speed sensor. Check to see if fluid is full and clean. If fluid is OK, go to a car parts store and have codes read whether you have any warning lights on or not; they'll probably do this free. If this doesn't show the problem, have a transmission pro see it.
