I have a 1953 Studebaker. What should it cost, and is it worth the expense of changing from a 6 to a 12 volt electrical system?

A harness is quite a bit $1000 the labor to change it out $1500 to $2500 depending on configuration. Then there is thr alternator, brackets etc and (if it is not in the harness kit) the fuse box. Look on hemmings motor news online. There are links to folks who custom make them. Good luck, if it is not restored this would be a good time to do it!

Helpful, but unfortunately more expensive than I can bear currently. Have other things that NEED to be done that will take priority. Thanks much for your help.
