98 Deville is turned off, motor keeps running?

Asked by CSDaemon Dec 27, 2014 at 08:22 PM about the 1998 Cadillac DeVille

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 98 deville stock-full of problems, most recent being that when i turn the engine off and pull the keys from the ignition, a motor somewhere keeps running.  Sounds like it's coming from the rear passenger side wheel well area. Anybody out there encounter this before?

I'm sorry, r.r. wheel well, open the trunk pull back the insulator and feel the antenna motor, unplug it and if the noise stops, the relay on the motor has shorted, will need new motor assm, or run it all the way up,(radio on) then unplug it, they can be costly, unless from a salvage yard, and still won't be cheap!
