My 97 Eldorado had a new thermostat put in a few years ago, it's reaching and staying at the right temperature. A few months ago we had the radiator, belts and hoses replaced. Now the h2o pump is bad.

no it is just a car and cars break down all the time and some time it is expensive

I agree with 'crumbob' - if it is the original (or even second) Water Pump since 1997, you are doing just fine. Have it repaired and enjoy your car.
