On dash display saying check gas cap/check
engine oil, gas cap tight/oil level fine

The gas cap may not be sealing properly and it is something you cannot just look at or tighten to correct. As for the oil light, it is telling you that your oil pressure is low. If it seems like the oil level is OK by the fact it is in the right range on the dip stick, it may be a failing oil pump.
