Asked by May 07, 2018 at 06:25 PM about the 2001 Cadillac DeVille

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

just recently replaced my radiator on a 2001 Cadillac Deville DTS. It was running hot before i replaced it for
being cracked. After replacing it the temperature gauge would will go up a little and back down to normal
temperatures. now it goes all the way to the red. coolant is just boiling in the coolant reservoir, the top hose to
the radiator gets tight and hot so does the hoses to the coolant reservoir but the radiator is cold.  i’m not sure
if it’s the water pump gone bad or the thermostat. Any Advice?
