2002 Escalade

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Got gas 2 days ago, Escalade starts sputtering and
dying after driving about 30 miles on new gas.
It starts, but won't stay running.  I push on the gas,
it bogs down and tries to die.  Replaced fuel filter
already.  Fuel pump comes on, I can hear it..
What else should i check?   Could it be bad gas?

What happenend is that U topped it off and fuel got into the Evap system. Check the Evap canister and Evap solenoid valve to see if it's stuck open

I didn't actually top it off, I only got about 1/2 a tank. But it was very close to empty when I got the 10 gallons. I'm kind of concerned about the gas, because the Safeway had multiple pumps not operational.. Is there still a possibility it's the evap system?

If you're not getting a check engine light on then I would just drain that fuel out and replace it with fuel from a different source

Same happened to me and ya 2000 Cadillac Escalade replaced fuel pump and filter because it broke down while driving but the check engine light is on and it started up after replacement of fuel pump and filter drove it for five mins and broke down again
