My middle brake light works but the other 2 do not. My husband tried changing the bulb but that didn't fix the problem. Any suggestions?

There probably is a bad relay for the other lights. I saw the same thing happen on a Geo Metro.

If it's not a relay problem, get a chiltons repair manual and look up electrical schematics in the lighting section. You can find this manual at any auto parts store or you can get it downloaded and printed at your nearest ford dealer service dept. When you get this info. check all ground, common wire locations to see that they are intact, bad connection,NO POWER FLOW. FIRST AND FOREMOST....DO YOU HAVE AN AUTOMOTIVE CIRCUIT TEST LAMP PROBE?Put the clip end to car body or seat stud or anyplace that's metal and see if fuse is open(blown)if not remove taillamp assembly(s)and take out stop lamp bulb, touch probe tip to bulb contact(terminal)if the probe lights up when brake pedal is depressed that means you have a good circuit and a faulty socket,if probe don't light up then refer to manual wiring schematics to locate bad circuit. You could also have a bad turn signal switch or clockspring located steering colomn. Try this,if you have any problems ask your husband to assist or drop me an email, be happy to help. bye! jus me intellabee!
