My car will not go into reverse.

Car can go forward but not in reverse.

put two fingers under shift knob, lift to compress spring and place it reverse

I have an SVT focus(manual), same problem. I tried to adjust the Orange mount, but with no success of finding reverse... all the other gears work fine... know of any secret that might help me?

those springs have a tendency to come out of the little slot on the little part you pull up i have the lx but my friend has a se and it's happened to him before but that little spring is what lets you go into reverse so if it's out by a little it's going to fuck with you

i have a problem with my transmission (2003 focus automatic) and the gears clunk with also when i first start it, it doesn't go in reverse but when it does it slips out.

When I’m driving along my forward gears are not a problem to go into but as soon as I put it into reverse gear it’s gives me a grinding noise and it also can’t stay in reverse what is the problem any issues

Replace the A and B code parts 761 and now the car will not go in reverse or second reverse was working before we chanced out the parts I could not get into second it would work but it would have to go to 3 rpms before it would work. Not sure what to do

Myford figo car not moving in reverse. Last night A boulder can below my car while moving car in walking speed. After that the reverse gear stopped functioning..When I try to move the car backward then instead of moving backward..the car starts moving forward..
