Why when turning off my 2006 DTS Cadillac off I hear the fan on.

It may run for a minute or two just due to the delay shut down procedure, late model vehicles have this system, it allows the computer to do a gradual shutdown of all control modules, just as long as it shuts off after a minute or two it is normal.
