can you replace a 2002 ford explorer transmission with a 1995 ford explorer transmission?

No you can not. The 95 Explorer has a 4r55e transmission and the 2002 has a 5r55w or 5r55s transmission. They are not the same.

I had the same question ⬆⬆⬆....are the bolt pattern and the length the same Stanford?

I do not believe that they are the same length. Either way, they are not interchangeable even if they do have the same bolt pattern
