I have a 2002 Ford Explorer. It won't shift gears and I can't figure out how to check the transmission fluid. There's no dipstick, or I can't find it if there is. Do you know what I need to do?

There is no way to check the transmission fluid as the system is considered sealed. There is a special tool which drains the transmission when the fluid is changed. The pan fitting allows fluid to be pumped in. When it is heated he expands and exits the fitting on the pan. When the fluid stops dripping out the transmission is "full" Unless you saw a puddle of red/pink fluid under your vehicle the fluid is probably OK. Take it to a shop.
