engine problem

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

after a few miles of driving when the car (automatic) slowed down to park the engine
suddenly got problem as if the engine wanted to stop and the smoke emitting from the
muffler smells bad.but the engine is in normal if the gear is in park or neutral position
