I found a vacuum line wrapped around the battery, its a small line coming out of the top
of the vacuum compressor. where does it go? sometimes if i put a screw in it the
check engine light will go off, until it comes on again.

there has to be only one place where it needs to go.... arg...

The vacuum compressor? Ok vacuum and compress are the exact opposite of each other. That's like dry water or cold fire. My point being, what are you talking about when you say vacuum compressor.
