Ford Escape 2002 car mileage

Asked by Jul 13, 2018 at 03:59 PM about the 2002 Ford Escape

Question type: General

I am interested in buying a 2002 Ford Escape 4x4
for $2500, but it has about 195k miles on it.
Wondering if it is worth the risk and how long it will
last. Need it to commute to college for the next
two years.

Can you afford to lose the $2,500 if the car dies tomorrow? If not then don't buy it. It could run quite a while or die today. Unless you only drive a mile or two each day find a lower mile car. How far away is your school?

We have a 2014 and are starting to have problems with wheel locking up and ignition locked as well so key won’t turn to start second time this has happened now out of no where it was used and has about 100k miles on it so buy at your own risk
