'81 F-100, No defrost blow

Asked by John0525 Nov 24, 2015 at 02:00 PM about the 1981 Ford F-100

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I only get air thru the dash board vents. No floor and more importantly, no
defrost. I know there is a defrost/floor mode. How do I manually make that stay
open until I get a new duct cabinet?

that is a simple fix actually ...that system is operated by vacuum check vacuum line under hood and look for a broken one ..should be a black line from the carb to a vacuum bottle? or straight vaccum to indise the cab usually on the passenger side underhood ...
