Possible leaks are the fuel tank, the fuel line, the fuel pump. Inspect and locate the leak origin...replace the defective part(s).

The most common leak on an old Ford is the fuel pump, there are air holes in the sides for the diaphragm, when the diaphragm gets worn it leaks and then fuel will come out those holes and you can loose a lot of fuel fast when it it running.
