69 F100 died

My 1969 F100 died while I was driving today. I was going about 35mph and it pop
exhaust and just died.. no other noises, no rattling, and just coasted until I pulled over.  I
checked what I knew but just got this truck a week ago and don't know too much about
it yet. Please help.

Start with the ignition system. Cap Rotor Points. And more info would help. Engine. Transmission. Is it stock. Things like that.
