Having problems with adjustments on carb 2 bbl 68 ford f-100 360 motor

Has a new rebuilt 2100 2 bbl carb.
Can't seem to get the adjustments
right. To make it idal proper.

So are you trying to adjust the idle mixture screws? With the engine running and warmed up, tart by having them backed out 2 turns, and adjust the idle down to where it needs to be. Then screw in slowly one idle mixture screw until you hear the rpm of the engine idle down. At this point back out the idle mixture screw until the highest rpm is gained. Then go to the other idle mixture screw and do the same. Adjust the idle of the engine to keep it at like 650 rpm. Back out the idle mixture screws 1/4 turn from that point.

Give it a shot of Starter Fluid. If it runs, its the carb. If it doesn't, its the ignition. I learned 60 years ago that most carb problems are in the distributor!

I have a question carb idle screw in a 71 ford f100 left side doesn’t do anything when screwed in or out only the right side makes any changes to the idle
