Jaguar XJS Trunk Latch

I tried to lower the trunk lid on my Jaguar XJS (just on the latch side) to be even with the body by adjusting the "hook" (not the latch) and now the trunk will not close or lock.  How do I reset the hook and latch to get them to lock?

I think you need to reverse whatever you did. There probably are adjustable stops for the boot lid. Try them.

Did anything fix trunk closing problem? I have same problem and no amount of effort seems to fix it
