I have located a 79 Ranchero Brogham  with a stock 302. I was wondering what the fuel economy is on this beast? I may use it as a daily driver for a 80 mile RT commute. I presently drive a 93 f 150 that gets 12 mpg. The cost is getting to me. My brother bought a 82 El Camino with a stock 305. He says gets gets 18 mpg. anybody care to discuss? I also talked to an owner of a 69 ranchero with a rebuilt 302 . He says the late 60's vehicles got better fuel economy. Ant truth to that?

if you take the camper shell off 12 city,15 highway,no about the 60,s,they were made of thicker metal
