I changed the PVC valve and I don't know if it was
doing it before.

Could be a plugged catalytic converter in the exhaust.


Spits and sputters might be a misfire, and raw fuel is entering the cats and burning making it glow. Is the CEL on? Scan for codes. Check the plugs and coils at the very least.
