2003 ford Taurus

Have them tested at a local parts store. A quick and easy alternator test is.....start the engine and measure the voltage at the battery terminals with a volt meter. Voltage should be 13.8 to 14.6 engine running, if it is lower than 13 volts I would suspect the alternator or the wiring to the alternator as the probable culprit.

If you have a multimeter -volt ohm its simple to check an alternator if you don't have one, Check and make sure the battery is less than 60 months old, if its older replace it! then check the alternator or have it checked alternator output 13.2-14-8 OK at the battery terminals car idling.

The car won't start.... It makes a clicking sound when I try and start it.... I had the power booster and a belt changed two dsys ago... Do you think that has anything to do with why it's not starting?

Unless it was perfect before the belt or booster unit was replaced maybe a ground cable or connection was disturbed, bumped, or touched...about to fail anyways! very doubtful its related.

Charging the battery should make it start.

If ur lights dont work or stereo then ur battery is dead charge it an see if it holds a charge if it dont hold go get a new one.
