Taurus won't start

2003 Ford Taurus won't start.  First time I tried to start it
it made a noise but wouldn't start and then after a few
more tries no more noise except for a click each time I
turn the key.  I already had the battery checked and it
should be fine.  I am very bad with cars and could use
any tips or advice on what might be wrong.  Thanks

Diagnosing noises over the internet is hard. Whatever was the noise, it wouldn't allow the car to start. You then ended up draining the battery , that is why it is clicking. You can try jump starting the car. But have someone local check out the noise ASAP.
