can u tell me what the diff is between wheel alignment and tracking

if your rear tires don't track straight in reference to the front the car will handle poorly and possibly dart to one side under heavy braking.

well could tracking or wheel alignment be the root problem to the problem iam haveing that when i take a left/righr turn the steering wheel does not return to centre as you have to put light pressure on it to bring it back to that position if i didnt the car would crash.

i don't think so. that would probably have to be a pretty sever front problem like castor. left AND right. did it start suddenly ?
