Question type: General

my wife has just bought a honda jazz 1.4 se  04 plate and after having the car for less than a week i think ther is a safety issue with the steering buy the sellar does not agree he said it is a feature with the honda jazz, the issue i have with the car is if you take a left or right turn the steering wheel does not come back to the centre unless you pull it back to that position, takeing a lefthand bend i took my hands of the steering wheel and the car went round that bend its self, so we all agreed to send the car to honda dealer to hav it check out and it came back that ther was no safety issue and agreed with the seller that it is just a feature on the honda jazz, what  is your take in all this as i am   not convinced at  all. thanks  Gerry

I believe it's about wheel alignment. Steering wheel doesn't come back to center means there's a problem with "caster". When you take your hands off and it bend left might be a problems with "toe". Any cars can have such issues, but your car seems to have it too early. There could be a problem while assembling your suspension systems.
