passenger window will not go down from drivers side passenger switch

From the driver side, the power window for the passenger, will not go down or
up. It works perfectly from the passenger side, but I have no control from the
driver side. tried putting in a new switch but it did not work What can I do to fix
this?

The master switch was replaced (drivers) so you have an open (circuit) ground control windows...from it to the passengers side. Unless you have a multimeter and understand electrical circuitry and wiring diagrams Don't waste your time. Not difficult but not worth most peoples time have it checked.

Check the wiring that is in the doorjamb of the driver's door. You'll see a rubber hose looking thing that goes from the main body of the car to the door. Remove it and inspect the wires. Oftentimes the wires in this area will wear and break because of the opening and closing of the door. Since the driver's door gets used the most, it's more prone to wear. HTH. -Jim
