I have a 1963 ford falcon  under dash on the drive side there is a white cylinder  about 3inches long attract to a wire is this a fuse for a radio?

Can the wire be unhooked or is it made right into it? If you can unhook the wire, do it and see if the car will start. If car won't start, it may be your ballast resistor for the points. Just guessing.....
