trouble trying to install the cylinder back into the ignition switch

is there any some parts from the cylinder that may be missing like c clamp

You need to install it,just as you removed it,,Install a pin,of sorts( paper clip works fine_ and install in the acc position. turn to the off position,and the cylinder is done...
