Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Two images just showed up on my dashboard. One on the left is a picture of car the other picture is ABS. What does this mean?

Have it read for codes, even if the check engine light is NOT on the computer will have stored information and codes. Discount auto stores will read codes for no fee. write them down.

mmm.. are they able to read ABS codes? I think most parts stores use a basic scan tool and are not able to scan ABS (and maybe even airbag faults).. I know they can't on my 03-04 foresters.. Luckily for me, they didn't take out the ABS diagnostic connector until 05 (forester anyway). Your ABS light is on to tell you there's a fault somewhere in the ABS system. Could be a lot of things. Is it the car with the squiggles? That should be VDC or TCS related.. read this thread and see if anything applies: http://www.subaruforester.org/vbulletin/f88/abs-traction-control- lights-turning-why-34405/ ........ and this is the connector I was referring to earlier: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/113645-how-to-read- abs-codes/
