AT light

Asked by May 28, 2016 at 07:09 AM about the 2008 Mazda MAZDA6

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2008 mazda6. I woke up this morning to
go to work and noticed the AT light above the P
(park). I tried to drive but the car wouldn't go into
gear and kept reving. I just bought it 8 days ago
and already having issues.  Does anyone know why
this happens or what it means?

That's means there is a fault code specific for the Automatic Transmission much like the check engine light. That is why it won't go into gear. You can check the fluid level before having the car towed to a nearby garage to have the codes read and or repaired.
